What is a modern fuse box?
The fuse box (consumer unit) distributes the power in your home across separate circuits, each protected by its own circuit breaker. Residual-current devices cut the power within a fraction of a second as soon as current 'leaks' somewhere — through a faulty appliance, a damp environment or, worse, through a person. That's the difference between a scare and an accident.
