When do you need 3-phase power?

Three-phase isn't a goal in itself — it depends on what you want at home. These are the most common situations.

Charging an electric car

With 3-phase you charge at up to 11 kW — about three times faster than on a single phase. Your car is always fully charged in the morning.

Heat pump

Many heat pumps need their own circuit and sometimes 3-phase power. We make sure your fuse box is ready for it.

Induction cooking

Switching from gas to induction? A cooking circuit or Perilex socket requires a fuse box that can handle it.

Solar panels & home battery

Larger inverters and home batteries feed back over 3 phases — better for the grid and for your installation.

Old fuse box

Still have porcelain fuses? A modern consumer unit with residual-current devices is safer — and often required by your insurer.

Since 1 July 2026: waiting list at the grid operator

If you request a heavier connection in an area with grid congestion, you'll now be placed on a waiting list. No panic — with a well-prepared meter cupboard and a correct application you won't lose unnecessary time. And if your home already has 3 phases inside, there's no waiting list at all.
